Tips ‘bad for workers’

Speaking at the council’s ordinary meeting, Wentworth resident Keith Moore said workers across two tips were forced to use a caravan for shelter and no permanent toilet was on site.

“The council would be slated by SafeWork if they were to visit the site,” he said.

Mr Moore said the caravan’s alternator, used for airconditioning, couldn’t be used because noise meant workers couldn’t properly listen for hazards or people approaching.
