Ballerinas and jazz stars impress at Watching Week

Chris Edwards School of Dance, including Dance with Nadia, threw open their doors to parents this week as part of ‘Watching Week’.

Traditionally the last week of the first term, Watching Week provides an opportunity for parents to see the progression in dance technique oftheir budding ballerinas and jazz dancers.

The studio was packed as the young dancers ran through their routines for the entertainment of parents.

RAD examiner comingMeanwhile, the studio is preparing to host Royal Academy of Danceexaminer and teacher Miss Elizabeth McGirr in the second week of the school holidays.

Together with Miss McGirr, 12of of herstudents will attend Chris Edwards School of Dance.

Miss McGirr’s classes providepreparation forexaminations, which will take place at the end of term two in July, brought forward from August this year.

Miss Chris said her young ballerinashave been workingconsistently throughout term oneto cover as much of the syllabus as possible.

“Our students have been very enthusiastic and committed to their exam preparation,” Miss Chris said.

“It makes it a pleasure for us all when the work is so beautiful,” she added.
